The Defence of Kalafeld

4th August 1985; Kalafeld; West Germany

The 74th Guards Tank Regiment is the key armoured force of the 94th Guards Motor Rifle Division.  They have launched a prepared attack and penetrated the West German border defences. The next target is Kalafeld.

Elements of Panzer Battalion 14 Panzergrenadier Brigade 1 are conducting a hasty defence of the oustskirts of Kalafeld. The main defence comes from units of the British Army of the Rhine; the 17th/21st lancers equipped with Chieftain tanks. 

The Soviet Unions armoured spearhead has tremendous firepower; can the NATO forces hold?
