Wargames Competitions have been a popular part of the PAW shows since 2000.

The range of periods has increased and the rule sets have changed over the years, but Ancients have always been a part of our competition mix.  This year, the rules in use were once again Field of Glory and there were competitions in both 15mm and 25mm scales.

There were some marvellous armies in action, especially in the 25mm competition.

The WW2 rules Flames of War have been very popular for the last few years, and our small competition has a core of regular attendees who come back each year to compete in a relaxed and friendly fashion.

Special thanks to James Pindar for supplying the bulk of these pictures.

The SAGA Dark Age skirmish rules are new to our competition mix.

The competitors were a small group of enthusiastic players with some very nicely painted warbands.

Regrettably, I only have a handful of pictures, some of them not very good ones at that.  If anyone has some more pictures of the SAGA competition games that they are willng to let me upload, I'd be delighted to hear from them

Warhammer 40K is a steady regular at PAW club meetings, and has been a popular competition since it was first added to the line-up.

There were some really excellent forces in use on the table, with a lot of effort expended on painting and modelling.  A new feature this year was the addition of fortifications to the rules, which brought some impressive buildings to the table.

Warhammer Fantasy has been a part of our competition line-up for almost as long as Ancients.

As with 40K, some of the armies on display were terrific, with huge amounts of skill and technique invested into them.

Once again, I only have a few pictures from this competiton, and some of those are very poor.  If anyone has some more picures they would be prepared to let us use, please let the webmaster know.
