More pictures from PAW 2011, this time of the armies in use in the various competitions that were run over the weekend. Many thanks to all the players who took part in the competitions, and to the organisers of each one.
Other participation and display games are on the Games page, and pictures of the Trophy winning games are on the Winners page. Results of the Competitions can be found through the Results Page
Warhammer 40K
This year 34 players took part, a small increase on 2010. Special thanks are due to John Orange, Clive Dudley, Orlando Murrish and the Cross Swords team, who provided the terrain for this competition - the Cross Swords tables were especially good.
Umpire Martin Binns did another good job of keeping things flowing, juggling missing, delayed and dropped-out players to make sure everyone had a game each round
Warhammer Fantasy
Once again well supported, with 24 players, and very ably run by long-time PAW Member Kevin Shillito
Field of Glory Ancients
Our Ancient period competitions have been running since 2000. This year we ran both 25mm and 15mm competitions again, with some magnificent armies on show in both scales. Andy Clark was our umpire
Flames of War
This competition was a little larger this year, with a good range of nicely painted armies in use.
Colin Cavanagh did a sterling job as umpire
