The Best Army prize went to H Crocker who, although more hard core, showed us the best side of the hobby in tailoring his game and "teaching" skills to the level of the opponent and providing both a fun and informative game for all opponents. It has to be said this was a close call as Ian Mansen, equally skilled and hard core, also played in the spirit of the convention. I think the real winners were actually all those who had the pleasure to play and enjoy their games. I certainly benefitted from their knowledge of the rules, which they supported me on ungrudgingly. (C'mon I did know it wasn't Flames of War)
I personally enjoyed the competition and was impressed with the spirit shown by all. If the others got half what I did then I think their weekend was a success.
Thanks to all for your support and humour
